Well Xtianity postulates that one family is holier than any other.

And various varieties have ranking of families, for the others.

Jesus was homeless (born in a manger), Mohammad as homeless (lived in a cave and was visited by an Archangel), Buddha was homeless ( lived under a Bodhi Tree), perhaps the world is trying to tell us something this Christmas?

Uncontrolled immigration like it is right now is gonna affect almost everyone but first the Latin American immigrant community follow by all ppl regardless of ethnicity that receive federal and state help benefits, poor ppl and then the rest of us so I dont think Lalo has the best interest of his ppl in mind

“Welcome to the USA” in the Mexican border. Now, that’s dark humour.

@leonardo • I guess it depends on what you mean by “his ppl”. Humanity as a whole? Or just the “ppl” that you think are important (but not so important that they deserve any of your precious stock of vowels)?

I wonder if Jesus had any opinions on the subject.

AGW climate change outcomes are predicted to result in at least ten times as many migrants on planet Earth as the current ~ 280,000.

    Let’s see: 10 × 280,000 = ~ 3,000,000.

There are some climatologists who peg that estimate as being on the low side, themselves predicting the number will be closer to 1,000,000,000,000. A billion.

Fabulous! As many as a billion of THEM to be reviled by US!

And US vs THEM is about as original a human response to stimuli as there is. And as short sighted/narrow/existential/limited/STUPID as it gets, to boot!

You refer, Lalo, to a well-known Middle-Eastern refugee with a Mexican name? (Joke stolen from Gabriel Iglesias — wait…what joke?)

Greg Abbott and his corrupt bus company friends are not Christians. They are randomly dropping immigrants off all over Illinois. Many towns are making emergency laws to stop that madness. There are no Christians in the Republican Party, they follow the teachings of the Church of Satan, not an actual church and just a knock off of Ayn Rand’s ridiculous teaching of greed is good and other stupid teachings, such as it seems, hypocrisy is good. Such as her living on, and benefiting from the social programs she was so against in her book, when she ran into health and poverty issues of her own later in life.

Church of Satan should never be confused with The Temple of Satan, which has nothing to do with Satan, as much as fighting to keep the founders intent that the USA is not a country run by religion. That separation of church and state is a necessity for everyone’s freedom, and no one religion should be established to rule the USA, ever, ever, ever.

It’s just a shame that they couldn’t put that in the first draft of the Constitution, but did feel it was important enough to be put in the first amendment, as well as being able to ask questions of politicians and more importantly, point out when they lie.

Of course, it’s equally important to point out when they tell the truth and do good things for the USA, as President Biden has done.

All of the fear that was whipped up about how immigrants steal jobs away from Americans, did not prove true despite trump’s draconian measures to seal the boarder and deport as many people from south of that boarder as was humanly possible under watchful eyes. Congress needs to get off the fence and create a viable, new, solid and useful immigration policy that will benefit the farmers and manufacturers by filling their unskilled, lower paying jobs with people actually grateful for the work.
