From yesterday’s comments -meowlin said, “I not only remember American Bricks, I still have some.”
I still have a bunch of them in my house, too. I never got any of my own, though I would have liked it if I had gotten some. But, I tended to get "girl’s toys, like dolls, stuffed animals, tea sets, an Easy Bake oven, etc. Also board games, which I still have. But 5 of my 6 brothers got them (I wonder why John never did? It was just Jim, Mark, Joe, Paul and Daniel. Jim got more than the others). I still have some of their bricks. But I don’t have any of the cans they came in.
All of my cats- including Boots my current only indoor cat let me sleep as long as I want. Blynkyn the outside one occasionally starts meowing at the window if I stay in bed too long. However I don’t usually sleep too late as my bladder objects & that’s harder to ignore than cats.
Hard to believe Queen Lily would touch a dog’s tounge. I made a spur of the moment stop at our local animal shelter yesterday and I’m going back tomorrow to fill out a fostering/adoption application for a one year old goofball shepherd mix. She is super friendly and was fostered with both dogs and cats with no issues. Been available since Nov 8, brought in as a stray but is well behaved and not a barker. Hard to believe she wasn’t snapped up at one of their big adoption events. They call her Mandy, but Molly it will be for me.
I had 26 likes and 35 replies to my story about ice skating on Christmas Day. That really did surprise me! I’m still on the mend from the contusion on my upper calf muscle, but I’ll be good in a week. Thanks to all of you for your approval and comments.
I relate to almost all broken resolutions. We never had birds to befriend, and Tyler and Oliver would never pull their late beloved pup’s tongue. However, YESH to all the others. I have a really inappropriate self-cleansing pic of Oliver somewhere.
Very funny. That dog look surprisingly happy for someone whose tongue is being yanked by Lily. Maybe he hopes she’ll go away if he ignores her. No surprise that Oliver would try to befriend a bird. He gets along with pretty much everybody. On another note, saw four chickadees while out walking today.
Most of those will end up being broken some time on New Year’s Day. The one resolution a cat has no problem keeping: “I will do whatever I want whenever I want to do it.”

Woof and Oliver are the only ones taking this seriously.

We can all relate to the " cleaning oneself" especially in the living room when Father OMalley is visiting.

My cats would never break any of these resolutions. But only because they would never MAKE these resolutions!

The Conspicuous Cleaning illustration is my favorite. One of my cats does it during Zoom sessions, facing the camera.

I showed this strip to the boys. They just laughed and laughed at the ‘let owner sleep’ part.

My cat is very good about coming when she hears her name. However, there is always enough delay to make me understand it was her decision to come. :)

I saw Jesses’ new doggo. She looks like a happy dog and will love living up there and going hiking.
