I was lucky. I did not have any outstanding debts after Christmas. I set the money aside beforehand.
Our Christmas gifts were meaningful, not expensive.
A credit card bill? on paper? Through the mail? They still do that?
My Xmas purchases are all paid off already. One reason I like to get stuff early so I don’t have that January Surprise.
Buy local. Pay cash. No after-Christmas bills.
“O Holy Night” became “Owe Holy Sh!t”.
Time to cash that reality check.
