I’ve never seen one with that much string before.

Conceivably a tribute to the late Tom Smothers, who added flashy yoyo tricks (“Just say YO!”) to the act in later years.

Flashing back to when Duncan had a whole line of glitzy yoyos, including the Butterfly to make certain tricks easier.

Only Spider-Man should use Spider-Man’s yo-yo.

Mine refused to yo. Always knotted up the string.

Not sure what year it was 63 or 64 that Duncan came out with new Yoyo’s, and kids even brought them to school.

Duncan and Tommy Smothers were funny guys.

Where strings are attached you never know what you’re getting into until it’s too late.

Step 2 – shorten string to reasonable length

Laundromat has a TV that is tuned to a channel that shows videos of people doing things with soft-ish rock playing. Some of them are okay and not bad but a good 2/3 is of people crashing while trying tricks a lot of ‘Darwin Award’ stuff or failing when doing something athletic. I don’t understand why it is entertaining to watch people hurting themselves.

After watching once, I now read a book with my back to the screen.

The fail video will get a lot more views than a perfect one.

Monty had a FOMO, so he got a BOGO YO-YO because YOLO.

Thus endeth another Tik Tok career. :)

I have tried. The best I can do is Yo. They never come back.
