A way to say some of us are old?

Who does thet young whippersnapper think he is??

Referencing a TV show that aired 60 years ago sometimes loses the younger crowd. By the way, I have the same last name as Darrin & Samantha (spelled and pronounced the same way) on “Bewitched,” which will mark its 60th anniversary in September 2024.

Many comics make me feel old, old, old. This did today.

…but they’re cousins! Identical cousins every way.

We got ou first TV when I was 11. I’m now 86. NOBODY remember watching was aired back then.

One of Patty Duke’s last TV appearances was on the Disney Channel show Liv And Maddie which featured a young actress who played twin girls, she was cast as the girls’ grandmother and great-aunt.

It was a little before my time, but I remember watching reruns closely to see if I could catch signs of the split-screen effects..

But they’re cousins,

Identical cousins all the way.

One pair of matching bookends,

Different as night and day

They laugh alike. They walk alike. At times they even talk alike. You can lose your mind, when cousins are two of a kind.

I think it’s a figure of speech.

So, a young man and his mother are out one day and the mom sees Sean Astin. “Isn’t that the actor you like?” She urges the son to go over and talk to him. The lad goes over and introduces himself, and then Mom jumps in. “I loved your mother so much when she played Patty Duke!”

The two men were instantly bound in a Mom Embarrassment moment.

LOL!!!! We are so old. LOL

So I had to look it up…yes, identical cousins are technically possible, but the odds are EXTREMELY low and cannot happen unless the cousins’ parents are identical twins to begin with. Go figure.

Patty Duke was married to Gomez of THE ADDAMS FAMILY.

Helen Keller! I always remember that one first.

Okay. I think now I can be officially labeled “old”.

The Patty Duke Show ran from 1963 to 1966.

I guess younger folks might have seen it in reruns, though.

I loved the Patty Duke show. She wrote a book called, I’m Dancing As Fast As I Can, about her battle with BiPolar (or schizophrenia, I can’t remember.) Such a talented woman. I just saw her on Match Game 74 today.
