Remember how Wilma always thought Fred was seeing another woman anytime he did something unusual. Did he look like such a great prize?

The letter is probably from their granddaughter Aubee.

And Clovia really looks old in this arc!!

Indeed Asharah, what woman *wouldn’t throw herself at that lovable hunk of gorgeousness that is Slim Skinner?

And if it’s not the looks, he’s an extremely successful businessman, a great provider and thoughtful companion.

    What’s Not to Love?!?!???

    - – - – -

It’s a full four-cornered update for classics on the 12th.

Walt and Phyllis get back to their respective grinds upon their return to the Alley, even with $46,000 – it’s a hard life.

Rick’s faith is tested when he goes to church one Sunday morning.

Chug-Chug’s hunch pays off, and our Brenda looks like she’s just along for the ride with the great war correspondent. I never like it when the striprunner makes the main protagonist look bad.

Slim has a ticket on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride… and there’s no telling where it’s gonna take him.

Doesn’t Clovia keep the books for the garage? She’d know if he made a generous gift.

Well, this seems like a strong marriage based on trust.

Reading this strip for many years, I often wondered what Clovia saw in Slim, but you never know!

Maybe it’s a letter from the mall where he was supposed to play Santa.

Ok, she’s sick, she’s tired and she’s married to Slim. I’m sure she’s earned a bit of nastiness.

Last week we were treated to the well-worn trope of the inept husband who doesn’t know how to do even the easiest household chore. This week we get the equally overused trope of the irate wife finding a love note to her husband which will, of course, turn out to be completely innocent. It looks like JIm spends a fair amount of his day watching MeTV.

Well,it’s a plot—-but after 40 odd years she should give Chubby the benefit of the doubt. For now Slim will drown his sorrows at Corky’s diner.

This is what’s known as the “Conflict Ball.” Clovia’s been married to this guy for decades, yet all it takes is one vague mystery note and suddenly she’s acting like the whole relationship is over.

What’s she expect, marrying a studmuffin like Slim.
