I think, just like mosquitos, the world could EASILY survive without ticks! If humanity can ACCIDENTALLY cause species to go extinct, why not PURPOSEFULLY???

Most likely the Ark was meant for terrestrial and aerial vertebrates, invertebrates may have used floating vegetable matter as mini-arks.
