It ain’t what you say, it’s how you say it!

And “zero hour” may or may not reflect the score.

All my students always handed in their assignments. Either on time or after as many recesses as it took to get it done.

T-minus!!!

T-minus is an awful bad grade…

The assignment becomes a mission.

My favorite professor, a retired Lt.Col, “I will begin to accept your papers at the end of class Wednesday. They are due, next Monday. Remember, early is on time, on time is already late and late is a failure.”

I always feel if I am on time I am late. Appointments, for me means at least 15 min prior to the appointed time. Some might refer to this as ameriKan time sickness, but so be it.

Different teachers, different backgrounds, different techniques. Neither works for all students. Two teachers, one speaks clearly and directly to students, the other speaks quietly, offhandedly, as if reminding him/herself of a deadline. Both effective.

Specificity

At SpaceX, your assignment can sit on the launchpad.

My high school senior English teacher said that a paper that was due on a certain date could be inserted into her mail slot at home until midnight.
