I’m really into cookies, too. There are times when cookies need to be protected.

The cookies went to Garfield"s “Emergency Bunker” for safety reasons.

Why does Jon even try at this point. Get a lock box for them… Except Garfield will start watching the YouTube™ videos of the LockPickingLawyer.

Shoulda reads his cookie policy before accepting him Jon.

The emergency was that Garfield was hungry…

Moved to an secure undisclosed location.

At the very least, Garf, swallow! Jeez… What are you doing with cookies in your cheeks> Hibernating until spring? Because Spring is a couple of weeks away.

How thoughtful – how altruistic – of Garfield.

And they will be “evacuated” again, probably tomorrow ☺

And what emergency was that?

Although it’s going to be a while before they get that far down Garfield’s digestive tract.

Garfield’s stomach is the temporary “safe zone” for Jon’s cookies.

I only buy cookies that are wrapped in pairs (intended for sack lunches). cookies now last days instead of hours.

I will have to remember that reason, hadn’t thought of it before. I’ll let you know if it works here in the real world.

Put lettuce or broccoli in the cookie jar, and that would dissuade Garfield from getting into it.

Oh Jon, this was entirely predictable and yet you still let it happen

Just a bit of a random fact: I just remembered that in the earlier strips Garfield can’t identify which jar is the cat treat jar and which is the dog one, so he has to bang on the table to reveal Odie so he can get the cat treats instead. The reasoning behind this is because in another early strip, Garfield tries dog food and is “short of breath” which could illude to the fact that he’s allergic to dog products. Although, he does have another meant-for-dog product in another strip (one of the first ones) but there’s not a reaction there. Idk kinda interesting and this is also proving that I’m a massive garfield nerd.

Garfield is ever so thoughtful.
