I haven’t been following this strip long enough to understand what’s happening here. Is Lily the harridan of the halls? Who is the veterinarian trying to save? I know it can’t be Oliver.
Lily can be gentle and kind. She showed that with Oliver. But she isn’t going to be gentle or kind to cats who mock her or who say unkind things about her or any who get on her nerves. Oliver doesn’t do any of those things. So, Chesney, learn from Oliver. Be like Oliver.
NATIONAL HYALURONIC ACID DAY. Everyone’s skin needs a little hydration, especially during the cold, dry winter months. On January 21st, National Hyaluronic Acid Day raises awareness of the important hydrating benefits of the skincare ingredient hyaluronic acid. The day also provides education on the proper usage of hyaluronic acid products. (this is another reason I hate winter. My hands are rough and dry and horrible right now.)
I will get NO sleep tonite. Why? Because the blasted smoke detector is beeping. In my bedroom. Which has a slanted ceiling and some IDIOT, when this house was built, thought it was a good idea to place the detector 13 feet up the wall! I dont know if my Son-in-law can get to it. Neither of us owns more than a step ladder. We will probably have to call the Fire Dept tomorrow. GRRRRR.
The cat sitter came over yesterday to pick some fabric for a new dog bed cover. Both cats ran straight to the treat cabinet. I had to inform them that Auntie Diane was not on duty and no snacks would be forthcoming.
daleandkristen asked if I could make this available so if you want the image for your “postage stamp”, mouse over, right click and save it to your hard drive and do the Edit Profile thing here.
Once again, Chesney really pushed his luck. Saying that Lily is kinder and gentler is one thing. Referring to her as the “Harridan of the Halls”, however was taking things too far. No way that wouldn’t have ticked her off. On another note, saw six chickadees and two golden crowned kinglets while out walking today.

Oh, Chesney, you just didn’t know when to stop, did you.
And now Annie has a vet bill to pay. See what you did?

It started with a kiss…and almost ended with a hiss. (Guess his only wish in the hospital will be “Send Me No Flowers”)

You did it again, didn’t you, Chesney? You simply couldn’t leave well enough alone and had to insult Lily.
