Dopes think this is because there are not enough charging stations. They did not bother to read about the problem the cold causes which includes charging stations do not work in the cold. So of course their solution is to try and cool the climate and build more charging stations.
As for Pete’s tongue on a pole, I’ll leave that one alone.
Are we learning yet? It will take consumers using EVs, to identify how unprepared, and all issues, in owning and support problems that are developing with EV’s. Eventually technology and infrastructure will catch up but it will also further define the actual and practical applications and limitations for EVs. This has been a learning experience, and a good thing.
Granholm should take her EV on a road trip to Arizona for the winter. She might need a couple of weeks to make the 34 hour drive. Charging stations are a little difficult to find once you cross the Mississippi.
Yeah, EV technology has problems to work out. And current technology EVs aren’t the perfect solution for every situation and every driver. But the government has had a major role helping technology improve as well as get over its teething problems.
As an example, the Internet that you are using here. Without ARPANET and NSFNET the Internet that we enjoy today would have developed much more slowly, if at all.
Not saying that the government should fund all new technologies, and not saying that the government should force people to embrace new technologies.
If the gov’t would push Hybrids, and gradually switch to EV’s, it would make more sense but to charge right in, like a bull in a china shop, well it’s just ridiculous. People don’t want them, the gov’t is subsidizing each sale with $7,500.00, each manufacturer is losing money on making them. Ford just announced they are pausing the Lightening truck (low sales). In the northern climate it has just been proven that the cold saps the energy from the battery. Earth to Democrats – Quit trying to force a round peg in a square hole.
ElwoodP: It WON’T happen if Republicans are voted into power in November. Even RINOs know the USA DOESN’T have an electrical grid and enough power plants to ‘electrify’ more than a handful of cars. [Twelve years of Republican control mean 12 years of freedom to travel by air or car using fossil fuels, that WORK and are AVAILABLE!]

Mainly a problem with not having enough charging stations:

More will be built, especially if Biden wins reelection.

I’m surprised Buttugieg didn’t stick his tongue into the charger to see if it had juice.

Wow, cars, misogyny, and homophobia! Must be a tent pole day for Paine!

Meanwhile the Climate Bomb lurking under the Arctic Permafrost just keeps on ticking and we’re arguing about electric cars.

Do we need any more proof that Payne is a misogynist and a homophobe?
