From one set of troubles, right into the other!!

At first glance, I thought that said “Bat Your Veggies”.

Seagull’s expression in Panel 2 is priceless.

Amelia is performing a service. Reminding children to not smoke in the boy’s room.

The slush to playground gravel ratio is important, but I’m sure she knows that. Even without following Calvin & Hobbs. The ‘fling’ is the thing. Then, simply act casual, say nothing.

Gary’s a real pasture pastry, as Utah Phillips might say.

Why do I get the feeling we’ll get Zombie Gary and his zombie sammiches soon enough? Spud hasn’t learned his lesson.

Second (middle) panel – what are Rose and the Seagul up to??

I don’t know if that’s truly a normal recess practice, given I’m sure all of the school staff would generally discourage it…but it’s probably still more normal than whatever the heck we want to call what Rose just endured with the boys. :P
