It’s a fierce race right here!

That must be a comic snail. Real ones don’t have antennae.

I wanted to make my racing snail faster by reducing his weight. I removed his shell but that only made him more sluggish.

Gives new meaning to “Gone with the wind”………

You two are slow racers.

I think this match up is pretty even.

The chocolate logo on today’s strip would have been appropriate for Easter Sunday in two weeks’ time.

I like snail’s confidence and imagination.

The snail isn’t smarter about his own anatomy than the average reader. Not sure who that says more about.

But we had wind like that last week, it was whistling through anything it couldn’t knock over and blow into a neighbor’s yard.

Dangit Garfield, this should be the one race you can actually win, how are you losing?

It’s not worth it Garfield. Unless you challenge him to slowness race then start to move backwards, like Hobbes did to Calvin when they tried that.

I thought Garfield was fall asleep at the starting line because a race would be considered “exercise” and we all know how much he loves to exercise. On your mark, get set, “Plop”! zzzzzzz ☺️

Wouldn’t mind being Garfield in the opening panel. MMMMM dark chocolate bar!

Actually, he’s quite fast. The snail went around the world and returned to the same spot in a nanosecond.
