But…..what caused people to think you are a scumbag? You might want to examine how you are presenting yourself!

Sometimes you have “help” with your reputation. My only roommate in college wanted me out of the room so her rich, entitled bum could have a room to herself. She spread vicious rumors about me. I ended up moving to an empty room. I never had a roommate again. That last was easy, since Augsburg dorm opened up my sophomore year (they were nuns’ cells when it was School Sisters of Notre Dame).

On the far side of the mirror, beyond how you see yourself, is how people see you. What image is objective? Learn the lesson of Narcissus, and look away sometimes when appropriate.

What people think (about me or about anything else) is their business

I believe that you should live and let live. Thus I don’t think much of other people. ;-)

People been trying to change me since I started school in the 70’s. I’m still the same ole Royal PITA everyone loves to hate.

I never worry about what people have to say about me, that’s their problem. Some people can manipulate you if you let your ego get the better of you.
