Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Drop her kids off in 1985! Auntie sounds as though she has been watching Back To The Future. That was made and set in 1985 with a long sequence in 1955 then Marty and Doc were heading to 2015 at the end. We later saw a fictional version of 2015 in Back To The Future – Part II. Next year will be 2025 and we will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Back To The Future.
Thinking about it, it was a completely different life and atmosphere back then. Like living on another planet. We were not only much younger back then and some family members and friends were still alive. Other skills were required in daily life, not all of course, but quite a lot.
Between 1985 and 1993, what was there to survive? The cold war was ending, the US was not in a hot war with anyone, inflation was under control, and the economy was improving. There are always problems, but that was a relatively calm time in our history.
This strip got to me – and not in a good way at all. My little girl was born in 1984 and she did make it to 1993 and her 9th birthday (Nov 15) – but was killed Mar 27, 1994 – the 30th anniversary is in just a few weeks. I know she’s in a better place than here, but my heart – and arms — miss her every day.

Their survival is an open question.

I’d like to drop ’em off in 1925. Or 1895.

I plan to live to be 104. If I make it it will not be a miracle. The miracle already happened: I lived past 30.

She will be a Cherub. And hopefully, you will meet her again.
