Grandma needs foot warmers. I was gifted with soft booties that wrap around my feet and essentially are cozy heating pads for my feet. The height of decadence, except that I get all wrapped up and heated and then remember that I left my Pepsi on the kitchen counter or that the bonbons are just out of reach.
In spite of her school grades or trips to the Principal’s office for not completing school work, Agnes does indeed seem to have a very extensive vocabulary. Kind of reminds me of Calvin from the “Calvin and Hobbes” strip.

after using that “dictionary” over her feet, I’m surprised that gran’ma didn’t smack her with a dictionary on the head.

I don’t think there are words enough to describe your own feet, Agnes!!

A depressing preview of what your own feet will look like in another sixty years, Agnes.

Don’t despair kids; it ain’t necessarily so. While the rest of me looks every bit of my 77 years, my feet are still trouble free.

Very observant Agnes. “Upright shambling”—thats what I do.

If Grannie had flat feet, there’d be much more area to spread shambling forces over.

That implies there are times when Agnes is not sad. Interesting

I like how Grandma doesn’t waste time debating the undebatable.

Agnes’ description in panel 3 is a masterclass in descriptive writing.

Open mouth, insert foot. If you can, Agnes! :)

i can’t picture grandma gamboling, but i’ll bet she can kick it up a gear from shambling to shuffling from time to time…
