There is truth in that. Tracks and running course are nearly impossible to hug the line so tight without running a longer distance.

Does anyone know what that dark gray cylinder in the last panel is? I thought Frazz might be emptying a trash can, but if so he’s holding it weirdly.

GPS can be handy for rough approximations – but learn how to read a road map, a topographical map, and a compass – especially if you’re headed in to rural/mountainous areas, and/or using a stupidphone instead of an actual GPS (the latter not being reliant on cellular signal).

Is GPS always 100% accurate? No. But the fundamental rule of analysis is always to ask “Compared to what?” Compared to that paper map © 1992 that you have to dig out of your glove compartment and unfold?

I enjoy driving across the new bridge over the Mississippi into St Louis. My GPS isn’t updated, it’s fun to watch it have a nervous breakdown every time about 1/2 way across the river.

You can trust GPS; it’s a highly accurate system of satellites. However, you need to be careful with navigation systems.

Try driving the Long Island Expressway at rush hour, blindfolded. GPS REALLY loves you, then!

Or maybe a can from which he just removed the pour-spout cap, and he’s pouring some onto the floor preparatory to spreading it…?
