‘Winter’? Not here. Spring is coming early and the only snow this year was a dusting on the grass. We did have about a couple of weeks of bitter cold and minus wind chill it that coulnts.
Upper Illinois is having a very warm winter. The daffodils on the (protected) south side of the house came out from under their fall blanket of leaves shortly before Feb began. The hyacinths started up a week or so later. The front yard garden that garners a lot of sunshine, saw the yellow orchid irises coming up about then too. Seeing as we can (& have had) killing frosts until about Mother’s Day, this is NOT GOOD!!!!!!
Yep. I’ve lived in many climates, but most of the last part of my life up until recently was in the tropics or subtropics. I’m in Scotland now and even though it doesn’t get Really cold where I am it is way Too cold! It’s also Never warm by my definition, even in the middle of “summer”.

Back to the depths Neptune, and you’ll be fine. Poor Sir Dudly, though, needs a snow plow, or some skis to glide across the top of the snow.

It took me a second to catch that that last one was Neptune and not some Ice God. I’m like, why is HE mad?
