Our small dog would do the same thing with our cat. Except we placed the cat food bowl in the bathtub….

Wally stay out of Oogie’s food!

My mum had two cats that she had to feed separately, because otherwise, one of them would go hungry as she ate quite slowly and the second one was a greedy guzzler.

And then kitty is shove food bowl off the table.

Where’s a trampoline when you need one

This is what I have to do with my meals when the puppies are awake and sense that there’s food around!

I have to put Honey’s food on the windowsill next to her throne or Harvey will eat it. (Both dogs).

No cats on counters!

They walk in their waste.

and that’s why the cats food dish is as high as it is in our house. :J

Our beast has to stay on her rug until the cats have eaten.

My friend has to sequester her boy cat, Finlay, to keep her girl cat, Abbie, from eating his dinner. And he won’t eat when auntie Tammy is there. Too shy. (❁´◡`❁)

In the Serengeti a leopard climbs up into a tree with its kill so the lions & hyenas don’t take it away.

Wally just wants to taste it, to make sure it’s the good stuff. Course there may not be anything left.

I’ve had to do that. Dogs do not discriminate when it comes to food.

My parents had to do something for our cat because the dog kept getting into his food.

Wally drags his sleep pillow to the counter, sufficient to make the jump.

Cats hate to be interferred with while eating.

Bad idea. if your pet gets used to eating on the counter, they will jump up there when you are preparing your own food. Better to feed them in separate rooms with a closed door in between.

I had to my cat’s food up on my desk in my room because my mom’s dog eat hers
