Is it true that some Hamas leaders are worth Billions and that they enriched themselves on money meant to help starving Gazans? It’s almost too awful to believe. But he was writing fiction.
Gazan civilians and IDF soldiers are dying every day while Hamas bosses sleep in Dubai and Bibi’s son is wintering in Florida when he should be in the army.
Not sure if the story is true. Seems hard to believe the donors (and their accountants) could be so stupid and easily gulled…
However there are times corruption can be useful. I still believe Arafat could have been bribed for peace—if only the Zionists had wanted peace. Yeah, Arafat was a vicious terrorist, but he had the credibility to lead the Palestinians to an actual peace treaty—and I think he was corrupt enough to be bribed. Since Arafat died the the Zionists have worked hard to make sure the Palestinians don’t have any unified leadership. Oh wait. How did Hamas get started again? (Though I think some gullible Iranians were also played for suckers.)
What a bunch of BS! Evry evil country has billionaires who enriched themselves on tens of thousands of other peoples’ lives: Israel, Saudis, USA (how many millions dead in Mideast so we can be rich on their oil?…….do the h thru // thing and then to visit reality
you should have seen the panic when Yassar Arafart (sic) died.. he was sitting on millions that was supposed to go to the Palestinians to start governments, funding, etc.
Wherever and whenever there’s a calamity of any sort, there are always vultures descending on it to try to make a quick buck off of people who are honestly sympathetic and only want to help. Beware the ones you’ve never heard of before. The Red Cross (or Red Crescent) and Doctors without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) have proven themselves worthy of your support year in and year out, not just when there’s the catastrophe of the moment. (There are undoubtedly others as well, but these are the two I always donate to.)
From ChatGPT:Hamas leaders are indeed wealthy,Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’ politburo, is worth more than $4 billion. Khaled Meshaal, another prominent Hamas leader, is estimated to have a net worth of more than $2.6 billion. Moussa Abu Marzook, … is believed to have a fortune ranging between $2-3 billion While these leaders revel in luxury, the majority of Gaza’s population—over 2 million residents—live in abject poverty.

The Hamas leaders are absolute monsters, but so are the leaders of the current far-right extremist government of Israel.
Look up the following Wikipedia articles for further information:
Gaza humanitarian crisis (2023–present)
War crimes in the Israel–Hamas war
Allegations of genocide in the 2023 Israeli attack on Gaza
Palestinian genocide accusation
South Africa v. Israel (Genocide Convention)

For years, Netanyahu propped up Hamas. Now it’s blown up in our faces

Oh sure, when the leader of a terrorist group skims a lot off the top, it’s frowned upon.
But if a CEO of a huge multinational corporation does it, they call it “visionary” and sometimes “golden parachute”

Although the corruption in Hamas leaders is well documented I can find no corroboration that they are worth billions.
