Interesting side note, in all of the B&W The Outer Limits episodes from the ’60’s, only two portrayed the aliens as evil. One was the penal colony of ant-like creatures—The Zanti, and I have forgotten the second, but, then again I may have not seen every episode.
There was the episode where the humans were doing a teleportation experiment to another star and the aliens on the other planer were co-laborating. The humans had a criminal on their side and it turned out the aliens had one of their criminals.
