This has been a Sunday version of “Dear ask a dog”.

In short, they learn nothing.

I always heard it was because their ancestors had to flatten down the grass under them before lying down.

Haha this is relatable. My dog goes nuts on couch sometimes before finally laying down . My cat however doesn’t kick him off .

My cats often do that before laying down, it usually follows the pain they inflect on me while doing the kneading thing with their paws on my lap, lol ouch!

My dog turns around several times, not before lying down, but before doing something else….

Now I’m genuinely curious!

They’re a watchdog and they’re winding themselves up.

They are making their bed before laying down. Parents had an Norwiegen Elkhound, he would paw at the rug until it was bunched up then lay down.

But mostly in this case, it’s an excuse for Garfield’s time-honored tradition of kicking Odie off the table.

Odie’s actually smart here. If he was facing the other direction, he would’ve gotten kicked in the face. Instead of that, he got kicked in the butt, which is less painful.

And in comes Jon to berate Garfield for kicking Odie off the table for the umpteenth time.

Giggling…….

If Jim Davis were to make Odie die, (which, I doubt he will), his grave shall say: “Here lies proof that dogs are dumb.”
