Had a tag sale across the street with high prices. The lady told me she knew they would sell. I waited till the afternoon when very little had sold and bought what I wanted for a nice price. My brother is an avid tag sale buyer and he has gotten some great deals. Many times people just want to get rid of the junk and will take anything for it.

We had 3 yard sales while downsizing. Made some money (despite the real cheapskates making very low offers), but honestly? We found it better to donate things to homeless shelter or charity resale stores than spend the whole day and maybe make $200 (on good stuff).

Lots of stuff here that I don’t know:

What is a “channel 5 fiesta bowl”? Since Google declares “ulala” as “Sexy, pink-haired, female protagonist of Space Channel 5. This videogame character is the creation of Tetsuya Mizuguchi and is now a Sega icon,” perhaps this "channel 5 is the “Space Channel 5” (of which I know nothing)?

I assume “clutch” is in the sense of “excellent”?? (Again, the best that Google could find.)
