One company I worked at reduced the cost of health insurance if we exercised each day. We all worn wrist monitors. I had a motion sculpture on my desk. I put the monitor on it for an hour when I did not have time to walk, jog etc. Once I left it on over night. I must have really cut the costs way down…..

That tracker is not needed ! Trekking Sticks would be nice for the upper body while walking ;-)

old story about two runners meeting up at a stoplight at an intersection. jogging in place, the guy in his fancy lycra shorts, tight shorts and fitness tracker says to the other guy in cutoffs and a t shirt—" well really -if you can’t afford the sport, you should not participate!" gag!

97% of walks involve dogs, they are all the credit I need.

A company I worked for gave out pedometers for a 10,000 steps per day contest to promote fitness. The winner was a supervisor who had a ranch. We cried foul as she did the steps as a result of doing her chores not as a fitness program.

That is a good one Dan, and true for me. Since I’ve retired I walk more but my wife has to wait on me to get the GPS signals on my Garmin!

I don’t exercise unless it actually accomplishes a chore that needs doing

I hate when I go out for a walk and my phone is home! NO credit for all those steps!
