Oh Hi there Earnie! Better to wear the pink suit than to have your lovely fur dyed pink. I never really understood why bunnies would handle chicken eggs either.
I’m glad for the reminder. I’ve been so busy, I’ve completely lost track of Easter. I usually bake a ham Detroit style (with cloves, pineapple, cherries, Vernors ginger ale and brown sugar), with homemade asiago herb bread, and I bake and decorate little bunny-shaped cakes. This year, it’s going to be a ham sandwich from the deli and leftover brownies (I do make killer brownies) from my freezer.

Uh maybe a compromise and no pink suit?

Obviously they don’t understand Easter eggs hidden by bunny rabbits for small children to find. It is a rite of spring.

Technically, yes. And the original myth (Germanic) had the EB as a Santa Claus style judge, bringing eggs to the GOOD Children.

Is this our friend Ernie? Obviously insulted to be thought of as a little bunny.
I love the little peek-a-boo characters. So cute.

Aww! Adorable bunny. Is Kate looking for an eggs-hilarating time?

Earnie The Snowshoe Hare, whom we met in his white winter garb on March 1, returns in his spring outfit. He will be back later this year!

And why would the Easter Rabbit (ka-ching! for commercialism!) want to dress up in a rabbit suit?!

Not April Fools Day, but close—at least, this year.

Nobody mentioned the toe beans peeking from behind the tree? Nobody said “Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!” ? Tsk! ;))

No, no, Ernie, it’s to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. Does that make more sense?
Brilliant_Birdie 10 months ago
Wouldn’t that be like asking a human to wear a human suit?
davewhamond creator 10 months ago
But… bunnies don’t lay eggs. And wearing a bunny suit when I’m already a bunny? It’s all so confusing!

Odd how It seemed like a reasonable request at one point. I love how you work the borders it into the drawing.

What a wonderful strip! Adorable bunny and the birds that remind me of my all-time favorite comic, Pogo. “The very idea!”—hahaha!

about as crazy an idea as Letitia Cropley’s famed “Dibley Bunny” , but she , and her “followers” used chocolate eggs. (TV’s The Vicar of Dibley)

I see three little “easter eggs” slightly hidden. Very cute!

Will Optima Populare be making an appearance?

Perhaps Kate might have better luck giving him some Cadbury eggs to hide?
