There is something almost mythic about a new box of crayons. So much promise in a box.

Not to mention that new crayon smell.

Ah the classic 64 pack ,loads of fun and colors.

That excited me to get a box of 64 when I was a kid!

I remember that feeling, what do I color Magenta? Or Umber?

Geez, I thought I was lucky when I graduated from 8 to 12. Only the rich kids had 64 in my neighborhood.

64? All I ever got was the box of 24.

That’s nothing. I have a box of 120! I think there’s even one now that has over 200 colors.

New crayons. Doesn’t take much to delight a child.

The box of 48 crayons was the most I ever had; 64 would have been more than my little psyche could handle.

Ooo, the Big 64 – I thought it was just a myth!

When the kids were little, we melted the crayons into molds and they would color with them. ☺️

My hubs is 67 and often looks longingly at those boxes of 64 crayons -remembering how he always wanted one but his family couldn’t afford the big box. Maybe I need to buy him one for his birthday ;)

BTW, I had a box or two that our kids got from their grandparents, and never even opened them, so I kept them until they had their own kids … and yes it is true … when you give a kid a brand new big box of crayons, they get “that” look on their face …

64 colors, and in less than five minutes, they will all want the same crayon.

64 flavors! Dig in, kids!

I vividly recall getting my first box of 64 Crayons and that was 60+ years ago. I can still smell them.

I dreamt of looking for a box of 64 Crayons in a Wal-Mart Store the night before this cartoon was posted in my email box. Ironic… huh?

Miss Bliss? She must have gone into elementary school teaching after her time on Saved by the Bell !
