I’m also locally grown NC. Love apples. Gala, Envy (3rd fav), Red Delicious, Opal (my fav), Pink Lady (2nd fav) Honey Gold, McIntosh, Honey Gold and Honey Crisp. Got two apple trees (canning green apples – forgot names) that wife always made apple sauce and apple jelly from. Opal apples were her favorite also. Tomorrow, Mar 21 will mark one year she passed on to Heaven. Life has not been the same. Lord bless all. Local Bee Honey is best for you. Helps with allergies and immune system. Esp pollen. Fact. Brutus reminds me of my home town as a lad. 76 people then and about 119 now. A boom town indeed. Pure Country hayseed. But honest man like his Unc Ted.
we’re about to go out and pick up some apples grown locally in the next town over on our way back from the home center there. wish they grew more blueberries and not as many cherries, but you can’t have everything… ☺

My favorite apples are Jonathons but I can’t find any. So, I tried the Honey crisp – my new favorite.

Smart man Brutus. Shop local and don’t eat the apples Mother Gargle offers you.

Her response is correct. Gala apples aren’t grown everywhere. Washington and New York are two states where they a grown.
