Today’s strip shows the different attitudes of Calvin and Hobbes. One of the strongest differences between them is that Hobbes cares about food much more than Calvin does. Just one more week to go before the happy ending.
Never watched the show, wasn’t aware of the movie, but still recognized the reference. I was at the funeral of my dad’s aunt the night of the final show, age about 14 or so.

With the nature of his crime, Calvin should start a car theft ring.

Aww, if only Calvin knew that mom is worried sick over you, not the car. You’re worth more to your parents then a car.

His mom’s going to realize that she left the car in neutral and think it’s her fault.

All those things you did to Susie probably rated your being a fugitive too, Calvin. But you’re good at forgetting them.

On the bright side, Calvin, you could reform quicker at a young age, and become an upstanding model citizen…oh wait, who am I kidding? ;-)

We will see how long Calvin lasts in the wild when it starts getting dark… and the food runs low.

In 1942 I was 6 years old, and had the reputation of if there was ‘trouble’ I was watching it, directing it, or the cause of it.

Calvin lit out from Ohio. He was trailed by twenty hounds.
Didn’t get to sleep that night, till the morning came around.

As far as going to prison, Hobbes and Calvin are already wearing stripes.

It’s hard to think about food, when you’re in trouble.
