The Walrus and the Carpenter
Were walking close at hand;
They wept like anything to see
Such quantities of sand:
If this were only cleared away,’
They said, it would be grand!’
.
If seven maids with seven mops
Swept it for half a year,
Do you suppose,’ the Walrus said,
That they could get it clear?’
I doubt it,’ said the Carpenter,
And shed a bitter tear.
Home, home on the range.
Dyson® vacuum cleaners would have made a big difference to the peasants in Jean-François Millet’s painting, “The Gleaners.”
The Wild West was a lot cleaner than we were led to believe.
Years ago, there was a sitcom about life in the Old West. One scene stood out in my mind;
Wife: “No matter how much I sweep, I can’t seem to get the dirt off of the floor.”
Husband: “That’s because it’s a dirt floor.”
And the canned laughter explodes.
1 out of 2 poor dirt farmers agree: “Nothing sucks like an Electrolux!”
Clyde’s farm is the envy of his neighbours and has won many awards for being the cleanest.
This is kinda like trying to bail out the ocean.
I remember those vacuum cleaners.
The famous painting by Jean Francois Millet – “The Cleaners”
Must be Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plain and her hubby vacuums.
“Those strangers sure cleaned up this town.”
The dust bowl was a Boone to the vacuum industry.
