Just never accept a blind date without asking who he voted for. The old rule about never discussing religion or politics applies to dinners with people you have to be around, like family. Asking specific questions about whatever matters to you of anyone asking to become a “blind date” saves a lot of bad evenings.
I was thinking of conspiracy theories earlier this week when I went to the supermarket pharmacy for my second covid booster [over 65 etc.]. She only asked my D.O.B. and name, and then had me review a form [questions about: am I feeling sick etc.] which had all my info, like my address, phone #, and so on pre-printed to sign at the bottom. My earlier shots were at another store, but this one offered a coupon for a grocery discount.
I’ve read that the world governments and mainline news agencies are concerned that the conspiracy theorists are right more often than they are. They describe it as "troubling ".I describe it as not surprising.

My dad once talked about the normalization of conspiracy theories around Covid-19
“Last week’s tin,” he said, “is this week’s hat.”

What do you call a conspiracy theory blood sucker that lives on the moon?
A lunar tick.

The government should watch out for the sweater conspiracy theory.
It is a thread.

Have you heard the conspiracy theory about the two single beds?
The conspiracy theory was debunked.

I debated a flat earther once. He stormed off saying he’d walk to the edge of the Earth to prove me wrong.
He’ll come around, eventually.

There aren’t a lot of conspiracy theorists left anymore. Most of them were proven true.

Tinfoil hats cause short-circuits in the brain. How’s that for a theory?

That’s OK. Aluminum foil stays shiny a lot longer than armor anyway.

Unfortunately not all of them wear tinfoil hats, but when they open their mouth, then you can tell…

You know they can never take that hat off, not even in bed. :)

There are a lot of those around. For centuries they stayed in the background. Now they have their own party with balloons and clowns and everything.

Juanita, the next time Barney calls, just hang up. I wonder who still enjoys these old tv shows as much as I do.

Apparently she doesn’t find metalheads to her liking. She should look for a fan of another genre. K-pop? C&W?
