If you can pass the test, then you can play the piano. Doing away with the test is just removing responsibility from the teacher.
That’s exactly what happened in our schools……not to learn anything, just past the test. They have succeeded.
The notes were not flat and her technique is sharp.
The standardized tests omit the heart and soul of art.
wow, that’s exactly the approach to teaching english in japan… ☺
And to memorize one or two show tunes to look really really cool, but slightly annoying, at piano bars.
