I was one of the few who liked the licorice, but my all-time fave was the chocolate.

One Necco wafer was all it took to make up my mind never to eat one again. Don’t remember the flavor. I just remember wondering how a kind of candy could be called candy when it was actually chalk. Bleh.

The original company aslo made Mary Jane’s and Bit’o’’ Honey , the new owners kept them going !

I mean, how are we suppose to shingle our gingerbread house if we don’t have Necco wafers? I still like them other times of the year too.

Thought that the New England Candy COmpany went out of business?

As Catholic school students, we used to save all the white ones and play “Communion.” Ahhh…the Days of Indoctrination.

Necco wafers are better than Smarties, which have no taste whatsoever.

Not selling it with clove, buddy. I don’t like clove stuff unless it’s an ingredient in baked goods. I like Necco wafers. Usually, I buy the all-chocolate roll.
