we call that the “zoomies” Fred, what do you call it in England?

True some days are like that. We’re full of vim and vigor. In your case, the zoomies. And yes, it can wear off and an afternoon nap is in order. But a whole lot can be accomplished before it wears off, and that’s a good thing.

All dogs are like that.

At my age it happens when my feet first touch the floor.

I have the zoomies in the morning too. That’s why I do all my house cleaning in the morning. By the afternoon I need to lay down or I’ll be a hurting puppy the rest of the day.

each year the energy burst seems to get just a bit shorter. now my burst lasts about a half hour. half a century ago it lasted all day. now I know why my grandma would sit, read, and nod off all day in her rocker when I was in my twenties and then go to bed at 8 pm because she was tired. <(￣ c￣)y▂ξ
