I doubt if any progress we’ve ever made is “easy on wildlife.” But some problems are so obvious beforehand, and could be worked out prior to introduction and use. Other hazards would still come up later, in most cases.
They forgot the beached whales caused by the turbines in the sea. If anything so-called “green” energy (solar panels and turbine farms) take up too much space for the little energy they produce and require toxic ingredients to make.
Tidal generators don’t look like that, nor has there ever been a commercially successful design that I’m aware of. The only wave generators that have proven to be somewhat successful are like big buoys that are anchored to the sea bed and bob up and down.
along the west coast of Michigan consumers Power built a huge reservoir, to fill it they pump water up from Lake Michigan, then pump it out of the reservoir back into Lake Michigan past turbines to make electricity.
Too much gov’t interference. Improvements should be organically developed, not imposed based on unprovable theories. Follow the money to learn why they’re doing this.
One rare case I have to vehemently disagree with @AdrianRaeside. The basis of this comic is utter BS made up by interest groups financed by fossil fuel companies – the first being Exxon.
There is no scientific sound evidence for birds getting killed by wind turbines, and neither for fish getting killed by tidal turbines. None whatsoever.

Both is useless and cause way more damage than help. Only clean and efficient source of energy now is nuclear.

A better type of wind turbine design is called the flower turbine. Google it if you want to know more.

BILLIONS of birds AND BATS are killed by the behemoth wind turbines every year. Ugly and lethal machines.

tall buildings kill lots of birds. and general habit destructions kills birds and other animals. fossil fuel pollution kills birds and other animals.

Green energy is a total myth.

Underwater tidal power generators spin at much lower speeds.

Birds aren’t real. What we see today are just surveillance drone replicas.
