Pretty sure no reservations are named for the town they’re near. But if Milford has any relation to New Milford (the town where Jack lived when he created the strip) Leo would probably be a Paugussett. However, it has been well established by the last few writers than Milford in the strip has no relation to any real town in the continental US or Hawaii.
No wonder they had trouble finding the place. The navigator is trying to read the blank back part of the map. And speaking of maps, you don’t need a map to find Mopped Up Thorp.

Why does Leo live so far away from school? Because he can’t live farther away and escape this strip once and for all.

These two look like arms dealers. What’s in the back of the truck? Mortars? M-60? Tank-busters?

These two flakes couldn’t have just interviewed Leo about Rod and his prospects for going pro before or after practice like with ToBe?

Who are these hayseeds? College recruiters, but not from State U? Pro baseball scouts? ToBe isn’t the only 3 sport athlete at dear old Milford High.
P2- Cameos by John Goodman and Dan Ackroyd.

First, school districts generally aren’t that big. And second, it isn’t particularly surprising a student lives anywhere in the district.

Even Jules Rivera knows how to draw a ’59 Ford pickup. This one does look more like a ’60.
