just a note- mike is actually making an excuse for JJ. instead of gloating how she’s driven her daughter away with her actions, yeah your mom is a grade A nimrod no need to ever like her, he’s being the responsible parent.

Kim has never tried to compete with JJ, because she knows she’d look ridiculous if she did…..

We left a friend’s wedding reception early because Carolina was playing in the regionals that night. The couple had been warned and understood.

I’m actually not sure why someone would go to – or in this case PPV watch – their ex’s wedding in any case, or be expected to (although I get the impression that Mike and Kim did so for the potential entertainment value).
