A seahawk is not a real or specific bird species. It is a nickname that some people use for ospreys or skuas. Ospreys are raptors that fish in freshwater and saltwater habitats, while skuas are seabirds that prey on other birds and scavenge carrion.

    An American photographer on vacation:

An American photographer on vacation was inside Westminster Abbey taking photographs when he noticed a golden telephone mounted on the wall with a sign that read ‘£10,000 per call’.

The American, being intrigued, asked a priest who was strolling by what the telephone was used for.

The priest replied that it was a direct line to heaven and that for £10,000 you could talk to God.

The American thanked the priest and went along his way.

Next stop was in Lincoln. There, at the cathedral, he saw the same golden telephone with the same sign under it.

He wondered if this was the same kind of telephone he saw in London and he asked a nearby nun what its purpose was.

She told him that it was a direct line to heaven and that for £10,000 he could talk to God.

‘O.K., thank you,’ said the American.

He then travelled to York , Durham and Liverpool

In every Cathedral he saw the same golden telephone with the same ‘£10,000 per call’ sign under it.

The American, upon leaving the N of England decided to travel to Scotland to see if the Scots had the same phone.

He arrived in Glasgow, and again, as he entered the cathedral , there was the same golden telephone, but this time the sign under it read ‘50 pence per call.’

The American was surprised so he asked the priest about the sign. “Reverend, I’ve travelled all over England and I’ve seen this same golden telephone in many churches. I’m told that it is a direct line to heaven, but in England the price was £10,000 per call. Why is it only 50pence here?”

The priest smiled and answered, “You’re in Scotland now, son …. it’s a local call.”

What happened to the Pickled Pete all funnies website for jokes and merriment. He is back to the long and annoying whatever. I will suggest again that PP move the large portion of his jokes to his ‘Reply’ area, then people can go into that location if they want to read the story.

No way he’s been water skiing since 1961 – his arms would have gotten to tired to hold on for 63 years and the boat definitely would have ran out of gas years ago.

The Seattle Seahawk that flies out of the tunnel into the stadium is actually and Auger Hawk that resembles and Osprey, whose name is Taima, and is native to Africa because US wildlife rules prevent the use of native hawks for commercial purposes.

    From Wikipedia -

The osprey (/ˈɒspri, -preɪ/;2 Pandion haliaetus), historically known as sea hawk, river hawk, and fish hawk, is a diurnal, fish-eating bird of prey with a cosmopolitan range. It is a large raptor, reaching more than 60 cm (24 in) in length and 180 cm (71 in) across the wings. It is brown on the upperparts and predominantly greyish on the head and underparts.

On NCIS, for some reason, if any of the characters had to work on a particular nuclear aircraft carrier, it was called the “Seahawk” despite having many of its scenes shot on the Enterprise

I don’t quite understand the Dwan Jaconsen one. Did he start water skiing at the age of 92, or has he been water-skiiing for 63 years

Hats off to Dwan for having the health and fitness to keep water skiing at a ripe old age. I am an avid skier and can even barefoot, but I would be surprised if I could keep it up for that long.
