A seahawk is not a real or specific bird species. It is a nickname that some people use for ospreys or skuas. Ospreys are raptors that fish in freshwater and saltwater habitats, while skuas are seabirds that prey on other birds and scavenge carrion.
What happened to the Pickled Pete all funnies website for jokes and merriment. He is back to the long and annoying whatever. I will suggest again that PP move the large portion of his jokes to his ‘Reply’ area, then people can go into that location if they want to read the story.
No way he’s been water skiing since 1961 – his arms would have gotten to tired to hold on for 63 years and the boat definitely would have ran out of gas years ago.
The Seattle Seahawk that flies out of the tunnel into the stadium is actually and Auger Hawk that resembles and Osprey, whose name is Taima, and is native to Africa because US wildlife rules prevent the use of native hawks for commercial purposes.
The osprey (/ˈɒspri, -preɪ/;2 Pandion haliaetus), historically known as sea hawk, river hawk, and fish hawk, is a diurnal, fish-eating bird of prey with a cosmopolitan range. It is a large raptor, reaching more than 60 cm (24 in) in length and 180 cm (71 in) across the wings. It is brown on the upperparts and predominantly greyish on the head and underparts.
On NCIS, for some reason, if any of the characters had to work on a particular nuclear aircraft carrier, it was called the “Seahawk” despite having many of its scenes shot on the Enterprise
Hats off to Dwan for having the health and fitness to keep water skiing at a ripe old age. I am an avid skier and can even barefoot, but I would be surprised if I could keep it up for that long.

Also, there is no such hawk as a “Chicken Hawk” but don’t tell Henry Hawk, Foghorn Leghorn nor Warner Bros.!

I don’t quite understand the Dwan Jaconsen one. Did he start water skiing at the age of 92, or has he been water-skiiing for 63 years

I’ve always considered “Seahawk” to mean Osprey.

How come nobody brought up the fact that an Osprey is called a Seahawk?

Seahawks are ospreys.

Long before the Seattle team, there was an Errol Flynn movie called “The Sea Hawk.”
