exactly my point – soccer: no ball scoring and basketball: too many ball scoring – you only need to watch the last 5 minutes of either game.

If they ever took actually Bucky’s advice the whole game would be nothing but divas diving. However, if they made bad dives a penalty, they could have divas diving divinely. Sorry….

Bucky’s absolutely correct here. Which is why rugby football (rugger) is so much better than association football (soccer).

Listening to the official commentary at an Olympic soccer match some years back: A young female was complaining about the obvious diving, and the older, ex-professional replied, “Its part of the game.”

NOW we get to the point of things. Wonder how much of soccer practice is spent on practicing diving.

this strip is seriously out of date as most big European leagues and competitions now use video replay that has completely removed the incentive for diving and eliminated it from the game. Just watch the upcoming Euro 20024 tournament this summer to see real football action.
