    Because crows are smart. Likely, expert navigators as well. Seagulls are…annoying panhandlers, at best.

    Because seagulls rarely fly any considerable distance overland. Seagulls typically follow the curves of the coastline on longer flights. Crows have no such restrictions and take the direct route. Q.E.D.
