The amount of air in a bag of chips can depend on where the are packaged and sold. A bag packaged/sold at a lower altitude would likely expand (puff up) if you take it to a higher altitude (like up in the mountains) because of less air pressure outside the bag (more air – more air pressure inside the bag).
Brings to mind the packing material that is just little plastic bags filled with air and connected together. The person that invented those is a genius. Fifty percent of the product was free! ツ
