I bought some batteries once. It said “Toy not included”……..

I swear to the almighty gods of probability that smoke detector batteries fail in the detector on the highest ceiling of your home at 2:24AM the day of your early morning flight for vacation. beep…………………….beep…………………..beep……….

You can hear it mostly in the bedrooms.

I still cannot comprehend this;

A barrel of gasoline is 31.5gallons. Do the math. That is 266,490,000 gallons of gasoline PER DAY!!!

They hit the car battery on the money here. I heard some of these EV car batteries are up there in price. Thank you Tesla!

Before the anti-EVers use this for destroying the EV, let me say that the EV’s battery is much less than $40,000. In fact, my Nissan Leaf battery is still going strong since 2015.

Similar proportion to actual cost of vehicle versus the cost of the add-ons one doesn’t want but can’t avoid.

That’s ironic! I was woken up by my dachshund this morning, with him jumping above my head in bed, freaked out, because the smoke detector in the kitchen was beeping. After I changed it, it took him about a 1/2 hr to calm down and relax. Enjoy your vacation. I have yardwork to do today. Want to trade???

Change the batteries every six months and you will never have the problem

Had to go back ….. after reading all the comments ….I forgot what the original plot line was about ……… So, how will they carry the battery ……. maybe a backpack for $50,000 ….. ;)

With just cable leads, competition will bring down the price of batteries; unless the E.W. has a proprietary connector with a lot of extra leads that check if the connector has been damaged or removed or bypassed.

They have to bleed the money out of us somehow.

It’s not unlike inkjet printers. The printers are essentially free to get you to buy lots and lots of ink. I prefer my color laser, it costs more, but the cartridges last forever.

And, do not forget the warning not to spin from a dead stop and over heat them or, burn, baby, burn.

He should show the price in yen…they control 75% of the global precious metals market that make up batteries. And we thought dealing with OPEC was exhausting!

They are starting to sell battery/electric lawn and garden equipment, battery NOT included. Very stupid!

That’s about what you would have to pay for a new battery for a Tesla Model S, installed.
