Pancakes or French Toast?

French Toast, maple syrup and a blueberry and apple compote with bacon or breakfast sausage on the side.

I’ve done pancakes for supper, with either bacon or sausage it’s fine.

When Country Breakfast was on the menu at the prison I worked at, we prepared mentally for a long day. It seemed that everyone came to the dining facility at the evening meal, after all IHOP made a fortune serving breakfast at anytime of the day.

Since many of us tend to have dessert for breakfast, why not.

I don’t see any peanut butter or syrup.

Growing up we would have pancakes with maple syrup or jelly for supper. It never occurred to me that was all my parents could afford. I still sometimes fix pancakes for our supper, but use molasses or honey instead of maple syrup or jelly these days.

Both my parents worked so sometimes we had pancakes for supper.

Food is food, and it can’t tell time.

I feel sorry for people who have their food choices constrained by the clock

I know people who refuse to eat “breakfast items” for any other meal, except breakfast!!

When my parents were first married my dad was enlisted in the Air Force. They got paid one a month, and hadn’t gotten real good at budgeting yet. I can remember having Bisquick pancakes for dinner or biscuits and gravy for dinner many times.

No Bacon for your protein! Better whip some up….

Well that is a true statement………..

I as in college before I ever had pancakes for any meal except dinner.

What’s wrong with that?

Saturday night is always breakfast for dinner in our house. Delish.

They’re baching it today.

It’s called breakfast for dinner. It’s a thing.

We have breakfast for dinner at least twice a month.

I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong, but I recall reading that we should switch our meals around. High protein for breakfast to power the day and good carbs for dinner to help you fall asleep at night. Pancakes fit my dinner plan any day.

Hey, once when my mom had to take a day trip out of town, my daddy made pancakes for breakfast, lunch AND dinner!

My wife and I have scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, and toast for dinner on a regular basis. We call it pseudo-breakfast.

In The Netherlands (and I think most of Europe) pancakes are really something to eat for dinner or lunch.
