Often, when I forget hubby went to take a nap.

So, what was it you wanted to tell me?

Does that mean they walked away or they died?

Yeah, Dad!

Sometimes I realise that I’m not there…

Do you realize they’re not there before or after you forgot want you wanted to say?

Elderly people who had been married a long time do that for a while after their spouses have passed on.

And then when you get the chance, you can’t remember what it was you wanted to say

I got up at 4:45AM to use bathroom. My wife had passed away next to me during the night in the past hour. Mar 21, 2023. The shock will always remain vivid in my heart and mind. I have not been able to adjust without her very well. 22 Great Grands and 2 great greats then and more in past year. Living in home alone, and still giving her “treasures” away to many folks at rest homes, donations to thrift shops and family members and friends. We have a Ministry over past 30 years for the needy and shut-ins. I still visit 3 or 4 days a week and visit hosp/homes/rest/nursing and Hospice facility. I also answer many Bible questions by phone/computer. A lot of her personal clothing and such have reached many needy folks. Only half way through and over 1500 items donated. Not one sold by me. She loved old antiques and nice clothes, etc. She was thrifty. Loved estates sales and thrift stores. As I did. My fault I guess. She tagged along with me when I went “looking” and she got bit with the habit. Even as a long time minister, I tear up when I am going through her “life long” collection. But must be done. People move along at different speeds. Just don’t stop and live in the past. Helping others can help yourself. Help and share. Gal 6:2. Bless you all.Love the LORD and others.

Yes, when my sister died. We talked every day. I miss her so much.

My wife is a ninja, she can walk away while I’m talking and I find myself talking to the air.

Equally deflating to find that they already know what you just found out.

Yup, and it increases the older I get.

Well aunty, if you weren’t such a Karen maybe people would hang around you longer.

Probably because they weren’t so excited to hear you tell it.

The person you are trying to contact no longer exists.
