The best walk for a dog is the one they’re having now.

Absolutely beautiful artwork as always, Mr Bliss. Thanks for sharing the enjoyment of nature with those of us who don’t live near it. And I always love that this doggie’s tail is always wagging.

I used to walk with two cats in the redwoods. They were well-bonded to each other as well as to me. We lived in the redwoods, so they were always close enough to run home. I do NOT recommend dragging your cat into the woods for a good time.

That said, it was the most fun people and cats can have together. We walked past waterfalls, they climbed on anything higher than two inches and we would cross a small river on fallen redwood “bridges” forty feet above the water. We spent two hours a day in the woods for eight months. It was a “sabbatical” after the death of my wife and a very healing experience.

People would ask me how I got them to follow me. I honestly had to reply, “We take turns.” Very quiet, very dim and primordial, very Zen.

Every walk is our best walk because we can still get out and enjoy nature together!

Make sure to walk your killer whale at least once/day. (You don’t wanna clean up if they have an accident on the carpet. Trust me.) Who knows, if you go at the right time, you might even get to see a dog.
