Why did the ancients use chariots? The horses weren’t bred big enough to ride yet.

Not too far off… tho I find that horses are not as domestic as they are captive and “programmed” into human utility.

Even domesticated horses would enjoy a run on the wild prairie, as long as they could get a bag of free oats in a barn afterward.
