Inflation is 3.4% because of increased federal spending on war, so William McChesney Martin screams inflation is out of control…so he slows down the inflation to 3% with low unemployment and LBJ doesn’t get blames for 3% inflation.

We’re at 3.4% inflation, the lowest of the industrialized nations despite price gouging, and unemployment is under 4%, so let’s keep the incumbent to break up the oligopolies despite the corporate porpaganda.

I recently participated in an online poll. One question asked what issue I thought was most important. I wrote in democracy.

The truth is that they want fascism. They want a strong dictator to save them from what they believe are evil forces. They want revenge for being forced to give up their racism and homophobia. They want to do whatever is necessary to maintain their domination of society in the face of changing demographics. They are one or more of any of those things and they oppose democracy because of that.

As uncomfortable inflation is.. how, do folk think trump is going to fix it? With his magic Sharpie? There will be a lot more pressing things to worry about under a trump regime than inflation.

Inflation often tops our list of things the President should fix because that’s what we face everytime we purchase something. The odd thing is, the President can’t affect inflation, up or down. And as Phil points out, what we should be concerned about, rule of law, the justice system, and I might add, democracy, are the things that should top our list.

Trump supporters think they want Trump. What they will get will be completely different. You will lose freedoms, and your quality of life will definitely drop. If America gets a dictator, he will be everyone’s dictator. It won’t matter what side you’re on. Sides go away with dictators. Do you think Putin, Xi, and Kim care what side their subjects are on? It will be Trump, the military, and a few wealthy oligarchs running things. Your say goes away.

you mean like forcing ppl out of work, to take drugs they don’t want, using the doj to prosecute political opponents and critics of your own party ? manipulating voting laws to what favors you ? doing executive orders after the supreme court have rule something unconstitutional ? that kind of authoritarian gov? cause then yes

Let’s talk about all the rules and regulations that Biden has dealt us under executive orders, versus how many Trump did. And then you tell me about Trump wanting to be a dictator. Most of Trump’s executive orders were to repeal Obama’s. Executive orders should not be legal, it is anti-democracy.
