That is a little different than thinking of the perfect rebuttal in the middle of night. But if it helps you to feel like you win every argument, so be it.
Someone mentioned earlier this week that Phoebe hadn’t drawn her comic book self with a missing tooth. I replied that it was “a flattering self-portrait”. Now that the comic book within a comic strip has ended, we know just how flattering it was.
“Hello. I’m Leonard Nimoy. The following tale of alien encounters is true. And by true, I mean false. It’s all lies. But they’re entertaining lies. And in the end, isn’t that the real truth? The answer is: No.”
Sorry to be a downer in such a lovely strip, but as we live with the reality of people who believe they can distort, dictate or deny reality to suit their own needs it becomes less and less amusing until it ceases to be amusing at all. I think we’re well past that point.

It’s too tempting to not think about it.

With all due respect, the rhetoric does tend to sound like spiritualist mumbo jumbo when said out loud.

I feel much worse after the fights I win, than the fights I lose sometimes!

Comics, unless otherwise described, are fiction. Some benighted souls believe unicorns are fictional.

Sometimes unicorns can be so realistic.

Frankly I don’t need to feel I’m always right.
