Mosquitos are harder to catch than fireflies.

Mosquitos are more likely to “catch” you.

My wife says that when she was little, they’d catch them and break off their glowing tails and put them on their fingers like glowing rings

You can create a glow-in-the-dark smear on the sidewalk with a lightning bug.

I sincerely doubt that large numbers of fireflies exist in Sedgwick’s locale. There were lots when I was growing up.

Jarvis should netted the fireflies and Sedgie might have had some live to light up. I guess the drought/heat is why we aren’t seeing anymore where I live.
