If she copied Hemingway, it’s too boring anyway.

    Hey, that rhymes.

If it was from 1952 it is The Old Man and the Sea. It is no longer under copyright in Canada and anyone could print an edition (although they world more likely put in under Hemingway’s name rather than her name). In the US which replaced an old, bad copyright law with a confusing and imprecise copyright law it is still copyrighted until 2048.

Unless you want to have the critics come down on you hard, Broomy, cease and desist!

Someone once submitted to several publishing houses The Yearling under a new title to prove how difficult it is to get published. All rejected it and only one recognized it.

Don’t these publishers know that imitation is the sincerest from of flattery?. And seeing that Broomie is over 1500 year old, how do we know that she didn’t write the book that Hemingway plagiarized.

Just change the title to Old Woman and the Sea. Should be alright then.
