    I think a Viking funeral would be regarded as major pollution of an ocean, these days…

    You can have my row boat, but it’s aluminum and won’t burn very well.

    EPA says “no more Viking Funerals”.

    As a compromise, tuck a canoe paddle in the casket.

    viking funerals really would have him buried in his car, the idea of the flaming ship really was a myth, works like Sutton Hoo show what the burials were really ike

    I read somewhere that there are a couple of funeral homes that will do a Viking service at their crematorium for those of the pagan faith.

    Sky burial (Tibetan or Zoroastrian). Put me on top of a mountain or a tower and let the birds pick my bones clean.

    Vikings are way too romanticized. OK, they were excellent sailors and navigators, but all with the goal of murder, rape and plunder. Nobody names their football team after the Visigoths…

    I want to be cremated and my ashes scattered on a mountain. I feel more at home in the woods than anywhere.

    I think to get an environmental permit the boat might need to be made of hydrogen. :)

    Goodness but this a sad storyline, not sure which character is the most pathetic, they’re both pretty obnoxious in their own way! Next please, can we please get on with 2001 and the future !

    Under the wide and starry sky, / Dig the grave and let me lie.

    Glad did I live and gladly die, / And I laid me down with a will

    This be the verse you grave for me: / Here he lies where he longed to be;

    Home is the sailor, home from sea, / And the hunter home from the hill.

    A web search turns up Viking Funeral Services, in Viking, Alberta. FWIW.

    A Viking Funeral is when your dead body is placed on a boat, which is then set afire and shoved out into the open water.

    Hagar The Horrible may be able to help out.
